Here are some of our FAQ's about our upcoming Pay to Play System.
Q--Is this going to be forever?
A-Nope! We are only looking to raise funds for basic operations of the society.
Our current goal is $300 and then we would be okay to stop.
Q--What exactly will the society be paying for?
A--We are getting new Core Library Rulebooks, we are updating our society library along with the filing supplies. We also need the ink and paper to print out the modules as well.
Q-So how does it work? Will I still need to RSVP?
A-YES. RSVPed players still get first dibs no matter what! Although sometimes we have some room for walk-ins, RSVP's still get the first pick. So, when you check in for your seat, you stop by the register and pay your dollar bill, and you are free to get in! If you are on the stand-by list, we will only make a player pay if they are able to get into a table. If a stand-by player paid in advance and we are not able to sit them, we will credit them to their next game.
Q-Is there anyway I can pay in advance for a month?
A-You can do that. Thanks to our friends at Olde World Games, we have a separate account for all players to put into as they need. Or you can take the money out of your own personal store account as well. We recommend a small amount if you are only able to play once a week (5-6 dollars) and a little more if you play 2-3 sessions a week. (10-20 dollars)
Q-Why is there no monthly membership?
A-The number one reason we don't have a monthly membership, is that we do not intend on making our program a long term thing. If at a later date we choose to, we may, but we highly doubt this.
Q-Does this apply to Rogue players as well? What about GM's?
A-Yes. All PFS games will be required to pay their dues accordingly. GM's who run a session will not be required to pay. This also does apply to training sessions on Mondays as well.
Q-Can we see how much we are raising?
A-Of course! The account is available for viewing by everyone at all times! Just ask one of the owners to see it! We will also have a little "fundraising poster as well.
Q-Will Waterfront PFS be charging as well?
A-At this current moment in time, Waterfront PFS will not be charging, but make sure you RSVP, as they will have limited space to play as well!
